Ferns are one of my favorite things. On our North Carolina trip last summer, we hiked Clingman’s Dome (okay, we walked up a paved path but hiking it sounds more impressive). I loved the greenery we saw on our way up, including lots of big ferns.
I loved seeing the ferns grow in the wild. They always make me think of ancient, fairy-tale forests, so thick with leaves atop tall trees that it feels like a cathedral with sunlight steaming down from on high.
Every other week or so, I send watercolors and stories to email inboxes. I’d love to send them to you, too! Sign up here!
